Knitwear Club conceptualised the Information centre with UNIDO's support for the Knitwear and Allied Industry. The centre focuses on collection and dissemination information for domestic as well as international trade thus adding value to domestic players as well as exporters.

This centre includes:

One, a library with latest books on fashion, policies, technology, etc, The library emphasizes on collection and dissemination of information related import-export polices and procedures, policy notifications, WTO developments, Cyber Laws, technological developments and all other information necessary for the industry. Latest national and international trade journals, magazines, fashion and design books form a part of the library. This also ensures closer proximity to the national and international textile scenario. The facility of scanning and photocopying is also there.

Second, Internet connection, members are updated on regular basis through circulars and emails. Diverse information available on the Internet is sourced for dissemination. This generally covers issues regarding markets and technology and helps to keep abreast of what is happening around.

Third, the website www.knitwearclub.com . The website is a gateway for latest information on WTO, Textile Policy, Exim Policy, DGFT, textile trade leads and other service institutions. The website also represents Knitwear Industry of Ludhiana on Internet. For our members, it means overcoming limitations and a level playing field in terms of market reach. The Internet version of the newsletter is also hosted on the website adding to its reach and effectiveness. The information from the centre is disseminated through instant emails and bimonthly newsletter. The newsletter has a circulation of around 1500 nationally.
